Beautiful is a word that is thrown around a lot these days, especially when describing people. In most cases when a person uses this word they are speaking merely about that persons physical appearance. Personally I feel there are ample words to describe physical appearance; hot, fit, fine, gorgeous, stunning, breathtaking. Not to mention all the location-based colloquialisms and slang that have developed. Most of these are words created specifically to express appreciation for someones outward appearance.
I don’t feel that a person should be considered beautiful by another unless that person finds their personality just as wonderful as their looks. Only then should the word be evoked.
This is why I will hardly ever use the word Beautiful when describing a person. In fact there are only a very few, select amount of people in my life I consider to be Beautiful.
I feel we should take great care not to abuse or throw around words without taking consideration to what they truly mean to us.

I urge you to take the time to contemplate your use of words and language, for they are the messengers of your thoughts, feelings, views and emotions.
